Spanish Mortgages

Currently Spanish mortgages are available to non residents for up to 70% of purchase price in Spain with the exception of bank repossessions where banks will lend up to 90% of the purchase price on their own stock of property, subject to status.

When you come to purchase your property you need to pay the difference between the mortgage and the purchase price as well as the costs involved. These costs are typically between 12% and 14%, which include the mortgage administration fees, life & property insurance.
