AGE CONCERN
The dream of many is to live along the Costa del Sol and thousands of British expats seek out the sun for their retirement years. Usually it is a dream come true, but unexpected calamity, illness or the loss of a loved one may create difficult times. The Estepona/Manilva branch of the Age Concern Association is run by 40 volunteers offering services and help to senior citizens living between San Pedro de Alcántara and Sotogrande.
Their vital assistance can help unload some of the burdens facing seniors. Volunteers assist as translators, help with Spanish paperwork, take seniors to clinics and hospital appointments, and when necessary can even do the food shopping. Age Concern runs a second hand shop on C/ Zaragoza 29 in Estepona. Open daily, Monday-Saturday from 10:00-13:30.
